Food Standards Scotland CHECKLIST: Food business operations during COVID-19

The template includes four tabs which cover:

  1. Audit Plan tab – outlines the purpose of the document
  2. Audit Form and Guidelines – to be completed by internal audit to verify whether Action Plan has been completed to agreed timeframes
  3. Social Distancing Audit – to be completed by internal audit to verify effectiveness of social distancing audits on site
  4. Hand Sanitiser Shift Check List - to be completed by internal audit to check hand sanitisers on site.

The risk assessment template is designed to help to ensure that workshops, stores, offices and external site areas of your business will be maintained and operate efficiently, safely and to high standards of housekeeping to carefully mitigate or lower the risks related with Covid-19. It involves a systematic examination of a workplace to identify hazards, assess likelihood and implement control measures.

The template action plan provided should be filled out using the results of your Covid-19 risk assessment. The action plan then needs to be communicated to all employees.
